Colgate iFrame Contest Lander

Role: Creative Direction, Design, UI
Axure, Illustrator, Photoshop

Colgate wanted to create a lander page within an existing TOC campaign, asking customers to "Take the Instant Relief Challenge" where they sign up for a chance to win a year's supply of Colgate Sensitive Relief toothpaste.

The Colgate lander page needed to not only have a similar look and feel as the rest of the existing Colgate TOC pages, but it also needed to be created from scratch using elements provided by client. The iFrame design also had to be compelling enough to evoke to user to want to sign up for the contest. I also had to ensure the iFrame was compatible across all devices. Another special consideration to be made was the translation of language and UK nomenclature in considering designs.

During the kick-off meeting, the internal team met to discuss page goals and visitation, as well as key metrics and interaction requirements, graphic standards compliance, and any image requests needed for a successful launch.

We then conducted a white-board exercise with the Web Development and Brand Content teams to go over page flow and general over look and feel to compel the user to not only interact but to also participate in the challenge.

I then plotted the most efficient page layout and hierarchy based on our white-board session, and mocked up high fidelity wireframes from those sketches using client approved elements and approved imagery. I implemented some of the previous Colgate brand UI and presented final page designs for review and eventual build-out by the Web Development team.

The final feedback numbers showed a 42% customer response rate of return. The program showed so much success, Colgate requested a continuous run of that same iFrame page format for the next 2 years, showing an increase in visibility and interaction year-to-year.
