WebMD OKTA Page Button Redesign - 01/2018

Overview: We were commissioned by the Web Content Publishing Director to come up with a simple Okta button design that was easy to locate and that stood out on the WebMD Internal Support Requests form.

Pain points: The Director requested that the new button would have to be both noticeable and standout from the rest of the button links on the internal Okta page.

Process: I spearheaded a meeting with both the Director as well as another WebMD Revenue Designer,
and have a white board analysis to flesh out the needs, wants and goals of the new design.

Next, I, along with the other designer, started mocking low fidelity thumb concepts for the button logo.
After another review round with the Director, we narrowed down the options to 4 concrete high fidelity concepts.

We then presented those 4 ideas to the Director and COO and came up with a final.

Results: The OKTA button redesign was not only successful at delivering what the client wanted,
but also the entire process proved to be an effective experience for an enthusiastic Director and COO.
Both are now wanting to further implement similar designs and process company-wide.
